Lake Erie Design Co. is a design and letterpress studio based out of Cleveland, Ohio and the product of a rust-belt upbringing. Our designs find beauty in simplicity and are often influenced by natural textures, airy botanicals, hand lettered typography, and neutral color palettes.

The vision for Lake Erie Design Co. started during a typography class in college at Full Sail University when I was first introduced to the letterpress machine. I quickly became obsessed. Shortly after I graduated, my parents tracked down an old Chandler & Price letterpress machine on the west side of Cleveland and surprised me with it. My dad and I spent that summer taking the press apart piece by piece, cleaning and refurbishing it. He put it completely back together from memory, and we began learning the art, mechanics and culture of letterpress printing.

All products are produced in the U.S.A. on the highest quality materials with great attention to detail. I try to contribute to my local business community as much as possible- most of my suppliers and vendors are great people and other small businesses based in the Cleveland area.
